One of the many challenges at the time of the Covid-19 crisis is conducting safeguarding investigations during lockdown situations. GCPS has worked with Plan International to develop a short guidance on considerations to help their staff decide on and plan for remote investigations. Assessing and mitigating risks become even more important in such circumstances and safety and protection of all concerned is paramount given the lack of a physical presence on the ground from the investigation team. Assuming it is deemed serious and safe enough to proceed with an investigation, the guidance contains advice on accessing services and conducting remote interviews.
